Trip Update – Shattered

Shattered

Excitement of my trip has been shattered since I found out about Cassie and Misty’s health problems. Cassie’s vet bill has set me back a bit and I decided right then to cancel my trip. But after Cassie and I had a good chat (nose to nose – I spoke she listened), I decided that I cannot walk away from my trip as I have done so much already and I’m really looking forward to it. So I have decided to downscale by at least half. Which half is going to be done, I’m not sure. Starting date has also been revised as I need to make sure Cassie is back on her own four paws before I leave. Things may change as the dates approach, but I will keep everyone updated with progress.

Thanks to everyone who is excited for me. The trip is going ahead only just down-scaled and revised. Watch this space for more info as things happen….

 

 

4 Weeks to go

I think the excitement of my adventurous trip is starting to getting the better of me. My post of last week said 3 weeks to go, but actually is was 5 weeks to go. This is my 4 weeks to go post. Really girl…. you need to wake up and smell the roses.

So my first two nights accommodation has been booked. Bloemfontein booked. Upington …. almost booked. Going to see the Augrabies in flood. Very excited about seeing this again.

Port Nolloth Im still waiting to hear. This waiting game is driving me crazy. Doringbay I may have found something, but again …. waiting for information.

Sutherland might also be sorted. Item 1 on bucket list will be ticked soon. This is one place I just cant wait to get to. So excited about this. Will be one of my major highlights on this trip.

I will keep all my peeps updated. Maybe I should actually use this as part of my travel blog. Preparations beforehand…. Sounds good.

5 Weeks to go

Five weeks to go and then I am off on an awesome adventure. Going to be scratching off at least two items from my bucket list. Starting to feel slightly anxious about this trip. The nervous are beginning to rattle and the butterflies are also starting to flap. Still got so much more planning to do. Just hope 5 weeks is going to be enough. Hold thumbs that I get through all the planning and logistics….
