Today is ‘D’ day that we have to leave The Hangklip Hotel. This has been a very interesting place. My last photo is with pink birds on a grey wall. Tell me what else you see in this image.
The weather has improved and I think that it has stopped leaking and maybe it will allow the sun to shine for now.
We packed my van and we headed out so that the flat can be cleaned for new visitors.
We headed off to catch the Hangklip Lighthouse. Yesterday we found the spot where we had to walk for to get to the lighthouse, but lucky for us the technician was there and the gate to the property was open and we were able to drive right up to the light house. What a relief that we did not have to walk this distance and get wet and fight with the sand.
Took my photos and we headed off. I went in search for the other side of Watsonia Road, but it was in a private nature reserve so that was not going to happen.
Today we were heading to Kommetjie. This is going to be a chilled and relaxed drive with very little pressure.
The wind was still around and it still let us know that it was around. It was really funny to see the wind blow up spray across sea. It also tried very hard to knock me to the ground.
A place everyone needs to visit is a place called the ‘Pitstop”. What an interesting place. All old car and road side memorabilia. Had some coffee and very delicious brownies. Well worth going back to for some more.
Drove passed Muizenburg and I had to take some photos of the brightly coloured changing huts.
We grabbed some lunch and carried on around the coastline to Kommetjie.
Such a pretty drive.
We crashed early as I was quite tired. Tomorrow will be another day with new adventures.
